Moving away from the restaurants where we already had our first tastes of Thai curry, we now moved on to the real-deal and decided to go street food!It was more coincidental than planned as we merely wanted to check out a smaller market close to the beach of Karon in Phuket. A bit adjusted to the touristic demand but still promising. Anyhow, we got to experience the colors, smells and tastes of our first Thai street food and here are our impressions:
Meats and sweets can be found closely together – in this case chicken and pork skewers along with coconut sweets.
Meat, Quail eggs, lots of different spring-rolls and a never ending supply of meat skewers.
Soups, soups, soups – a very important part of thai street food! Thai people love their different types of soups, mostly with lots of vegetables and beef.
Everything is packed in plastic bags and ready for take-away.
Fresh fruits cant be missing – usually piles packed with mangos, dragon fruits, grapefruits, papaya and mangosteen.
Sticky rice with all sorts of sweet fillings
