Visiting the town of Luang Prabang was our most northern trip within Laos. Once being the country’s capital it is now the cultural and spiritual heart of Laos. Luang Prabang is beautifully situated between the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers and is very well known for its fusion of old french-colonial architecture and Buddhist temples.
As we continued our journey through Laos we decided to stop by a town called Thakhek. Located along the Mekong River and known for its colonial architecture it is also the starting point of another famous Laotian motorcycle loop. Laos is an incredibly beautiful and fascinating country. We were absolutely amazed by its stunning natural landscapes of jungles, mountain ranges, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and caves.
