Budapest Apartments – Best and Cheapest Apartments in Budapest

During our stay in Budapest we decided to stay at one of the many apartments offered by Budapest Apartments, a company providing a large variety of furnished apartments spread across the city. We chose to stay at the Transit Apartments which allowed us to be in a very central neighborhood for a good price and a comfortable apartment. The apartment was small but offered all the amenities you need for enjoying a short stay in town.

Quick Details

Location

The apartment is located in the Jewish district of Budapest. You will find a large variety of restaurants and cafes/bars/clubs within this area. There are smaller supermarkets around and you can reach the city center very fast by walking. Public transportation is also very close with the Metro just a 10 minute walk away as well as bus connections across town and to the airport.

Rooms & Amenities

The apartment was quite small but nevertheless offered all the comforts and amenities necessary for a weekend trip to Budapest. The apartment as such is located in an older building, like many in the Jewish district. Yet, the place is renovated and clean. The room has a small kitchenette as well as a table along with two comfortable chairs to relax on. The bathroom is clean and provides a hairdryer. Towels are also provided. The beds are comfortable as well and are located after climbing a small stairway.

We liked the location and set up of the apartment. It is very clean and modern. The apartment is not a full-service apartment even though you can ask for a cleaning in between for a small additional charge if you want. WiFi signal was good and we had no issues whatsoever. They also provide some water as well as coffee and a small fridge. A microwave and kettle are also available.

Bottom Line

Overall, we had a nice stay at the Transit Apartment. The place is located in a great location just close to some main attractions around along with a large variety of bars, cafés and restaurants. The price is very good for what it offers and gives you a great value for what you spend.

Please note that this apartment is a private flat inside a residential building. This means that there is no 24-hour reception to accommodate your requests at all times. After booking your stay you will be contacted with all the details. There will be someone who will meet you upon arrival and hand out the keys to you. The check-in is quite late at 3 p.m. so in case you want to leave your luggage somewhere we recommend to bring it to Lion’s Locker which are located not far away. Here you can leave your luggage and even have a delicious breakfast.

We had no issue with all this but you just have to plan a bit ahead to know when exactly you want to meet someone to hand you the keys. The staff was super nice and friendly and we had no problems managing this.

Apart from the Transit Apartment the company also offers a variety of different other apartments across the city. You can have a closer look at all their apartments at Budapest Apartments. They offer a choice of economy as well as luxury places to stay, something for every budget.
